I made a post it note holder for each one of my children to give to their new teachers. My daughter is enter kindergarten and my son is entering pre-k (sniff, sniff, horray!). I seen the idea for these post it note holders from several bloggers and a lady in my church made something similar last yr. so I wanted to give it a try for myself. They are really easy to make.

1) I started out with an acrylic 5x7 frame (the kind that stand portrait not landscape).
2) I chose papers and cut them to fit in the frame attached the papers and the ribbon where needed and slid them into the frame.
3) I then cut a plain white piece of cardstock as a "backing" just so you wouldn't see the raw sides of the patterned papers (where they overlap and where the ribbon was taped down.
4) I attached the post-it pad using my ATG <3 :)
5) I chose and attached my embelishments.
6) I cut 2 pieces of the same matching patterned paper at 1/4" and slid it into the pen.

The bags are a mirror image of the holders themselves, minus the embelishments and post-it note pads of course. :)
I made 3"x3" cards with their teachers name on them and tied them and the pen to the outside of the bag with hemp.

This project was SUPER affordable (cheap). The frames, the post-it note pads, the hemp, the bags and the tissue paper were all purchased at The Dollar Tree. The pens were purchased at Kmart for $2/3pack . The paper, ribbon and embelishments were all items I had on hand. I'm really please and super excited with how they turned out. I hope the teachers like them as well.

Keep Kreating,
Erin

Thanks Amanda. and SUPER easy like I said. A really affordable quick gift. I ought to make a few of these just to have on hand.

I'm thinking of making another one with a scratch pad and making it so you can replace the pad once it's gone.
