Welcome to SpantastiKreations and the third Fantabulous Cricut Crawl...Fantabulous Cricut's version of a blog hop!

In honor of the approaching Christmas holiday, we're having a "Deck The Halls" Crawl...each Design Team member will be featuring an original Christmas/Holiday-themed project that could be used to decorate and spruce up their homes for the Holiday Season!

If you've come from visiting Elsa at Cricut Lvr, you're in the right place! If you've just happened across my blog and would like to play along with our Fantabulous Cricut Crawl, start HERE Fantabulous Cricut Challenge Blog.

Make sure to check out each DT member's blog for some awesome inspiration! There will be PRIZES along the way at our DT members' blogs, AND there will be a Grand Prize up for grabs at FCCB for one participant that submits a "Deck The Halls" project at FCCB!

How fun is that?

For my project I chose to make a PEACE banner. Banners seem to be all the rage lately and I have seen some pretty gorgeous ones so I just had to try my hand at one myself.

I LOVE how it turned out. There's quite a bit of layering and detail on this.
The base I cut out of red cardstock using the Stand and Salute Cartridge.
The next layer is a red and green polka dot print from an older DCWV Christmas stack.
The green layer was cut from Create A Critter and run thru the CuttleBug using the Spots and Dots folder. I also inked the edges with green ink to give it some extra depth.
The shadow of the letters was also cut using a green, red and white striped print from the same DCWV Christmas stack. (This paper is also along the top of each "square".
The letters themselves were cut from George & Basic Shapes and run thru the CuttleBug using the Snowflakes folder. I gently inked the raised snowflakes with green ink as well.
Using my Crop A Dial I punched holes in each corner and laced it all together with some white satin ribbon I purchased from The Dollar Tree (If you have a Dollar Tree near you go in and check out their ribbon selection they have some really nice and thick ribbon and it's just $1 :)
I almost forgot to tell you about the poinsettias. I received them as a swap from my good friend Ann from Yours TruLee. Aren't they gorgeous?

This giveaway is now closed. Thank you.

Now, on to the good stuff: BLOG CANDY!

I have this to give away once I reach 200 stalkers followers.
So....in order to be eligible to win this prize...
1) You must be a follower.
2) You must leave a comment telling me what your favorite Christmas decoration(s) is (are).
3) PLEASE leave and email address that I can use to contact you should you be the lucky winner. If I cannot get a hold of you I will select another winer.

I LOVE this silly Christmas song. I have it set as my text ringtone and since I send and receive text messages ALL day long I get to hear this song quit frequently. My kids of course know this song by now and they love to sing along. :)

Any-Whoo....I've had this card in my mind (along with the song) for a couple weeks now and I finally got the chance to create it. I used the hippo from Create A Critter (LOVE that cart) and cut it at 3". I got my 3M prize package that I won from Paula's Birthday Blog Hop at More Than Favors. It included a whole bunch of 3M goodies and CRAFT paper which I used as the black "shadow" of the hippo. I LOVE this paper. It cut so easily and it's adhesive is just sticky enough. Thanks again Paula. The sentiment was printed from my computer and I punched it out with my scallop punch. Some googly eyes (which are 2 different sizes and I thought it was ADORABLE), some bling and some stickles and viola! LOVE how it turned out. She's too cute for words.

Hope you want a hippopotamus for Christmas too. :)

Every month Melissa from Scrappy Jak offers up a Card Of The Month. She sends us a few very basic supplies and our challenge is to make a card using at least some of the supplies she's sent us.

This month she sent us kraft cardstock and a ribbon. As you can see I used the kraft cardstock as the base of this Z-fold card and tied the ribbon on the right thru holes I punched and eyelet-ed with my Crop A Dial. The leaf was cut from Stretch Your Imagination and the patterned paper was from an old, fall DCWV stack.
I gave this card to my son's teacher for Thanksgiving along with a jar of dry soup ingredients.

For this card she gave us the chocolate colored cardstock, the patterned paper and the ribbon.
I cut the rolling pin and the oven mitt from Everyday Paper Dolls using the Real Dial Size.
I inked the edges and used my Fiskars scalloped border punch. This card was for my daughters teacher for Thanksgiving along with a jar of dry soup ingredients.

Thank you Melissa for putting out the Card Of The Month. It's been such a blast and I look forward to many more to come.

Check out Scrappy Jack here on Facebook and check out the awesome cards from our fellow scrappers.

Erin
