Ok, Well I have to admit I'm a bit of a blog hopping fool. Sometimes I look at so many blogs that I honestly cannot remember where it is I see what. This particular card is one I seen on another crafters blog BUT honestly I cannot for the life of me remember whose. If it was yours, THANK YOU.

This is a gatefold butterfly card NOT created using a Gypsy. :)

Directions:
I used the CAC butterfly cut using the shadow option at 5". (I cut 2 of these one for the front one for the back)
On the back butterfly I scored the wings at 1/2" each side.
I then cut the layers and attached them to the respective parts on the front body.
Once the layers were in place I trimmed the body off the FRONT butterfly.
I then attached the wings to the 1/2" scored pieces.
Then stamped my sentiment on the inside.

This card ended up being much larger than I expected so I also created a coordinating envelope. And voila!

I LOVE hopping around the different blogs for ideas and inspirations. I've got a long way to go but I'm having SO much fun learning and creating.

Keep Kreating,
Erin

I just wanted to share a little something different with y'all. I don't papercraft exclusively cards, just primarily cards. Today I wanted to show you 3 different things I have been working on this week.

1) Kool-Aid "pocket". I thought this would make a cute little gift for a little one (say, my childrens classmates) or it could be used as a party favor. I think this pocket is so versatile. You could even use it for a gift card :) I'm thinking of doing a pic tutorial on this if anyone is intrested in the specs of it all. Let me know.

2) This is a simple gift card holder. It's simply a 4"x6" piece of cardstock folded with a "belly band". This was just a test and of course it could be "dressed" up so much more.

3) Is microwave popcorn wrapped up all nice and pretty. This is most definitely something my kids teachers and classmates will be seeing this yr.

I've been feeling the need to work on some scrapbook layouts. I haven't done them in so long. I'll have to see what my itty bitty mind and imagination can conjur up. HEE HEE.

Congratulations to the winner of my first ever give away. Lisa Maulucci!!!!

The winner was selected at random using random.org :)

Well, as promised I have some blog candy to give away because I finally reached 100 likers/fans on my Facebook page. I have a set of 4 (soon to be) monogramed note cards made by me :) These cards are A2 sized and will include envelopes. The monograming will be complete once a winner is chosen. These can be monogramed for yourself using your first or last initial or for a friend.
Winners will be chosen using random.org on Wednesday July 28th.

To qualify for this give away please leave a comment below and a way in which to contact you should you be chosen as my very first give away winner. Also leave a link to your blog if you have one and become a follower of my blog too if you would like.

Good Luck to all my likers/fans. And thank you so very much for all the encouragement and support you give me.

Emma over at My Creative Time (http://www.creativetimeforme.com/) has a challenge every Thursday. The idea is to use older Cricut Cartridges. This weeks challenge was to have a birthday theme and you were to use the "Celebration" cart or any older cart. I don't have Celebration so I used Stretch Your Imagination. :) I LOVE how this turned out.

PS: I <3 stickles.

So after just a little less than 2 weeks I already have 88 Facebook likers/fans. (16 blog followers) and I announced that once my FB page reached 100 likers/fans I would be handing out some "Blog Candy" so here is a sneak peak at what's in store for the winner of my first ever give away.

Once I reach the 100 mark I will fully reveal what the "Candy" is. :) So if you think you may be interested in this "Candy" please like my FB page and invite your fellow crafters to join in on the fun too.

I sent this thank-you card to my good friend Ann from http://www.cardsbyyourstrulee.blogspot.com/ for the wonderful prize package I received from her last week and she said this card just made her day. That's why we do this people....It's so wonderful to be able to do something I enjoy doing and then getting to share it with someone else to put a smile on their face.

I'm glad it brought you some happiness today Ann. :)

I made a couple new card tonight. I wanted to play with my new CuttleBug so I HAD to. :)
The top card is a Get Well/Under the weather card inspired by Momo @ http://madebymomo.blogspot.com/ . I had actually been thinking about this card for a couple days and then Momo posted hers. I couldn't believe it. LOL The second card is an anniversary card for my husband. Tomorrow is our 14th wedding anniversary. I thought it was pretty neat that the small love stamp embossing card that came with my new CuttleBug has the number 14 in the corner. What a coincidence eh?

Thanks for stopping by

Hello everyone. Hope you had a great weekend. I sure did. I was excited to go to AC Moore on Sunday to take advantage of their AWESOME sale of a 4pk Cricut Cartridge bundle for ONLY $49.99 but as luck would have it they were sold out by the time I got there. They also had a CuttleBug on sale for $49.99 as well which of course they were sold out of too. :'( Luckily for me JoAnn's is right near by and I scooted right on over there to see what kind of deals they had. Unfortunately they had no major sales HOWEVER.....I found out they have a price match guarantee :) So I went and got the AC Moore ad showing the CuttleBug on sale for $49.99 and they matched their price. So FINALLY!!!! I got my CuttleBug. I can't stop Swiss Dotting and Spots & Dotting everything. LOL

Christina over @ http://www.craftingwithcristina.com/ posted her very first Companion Challenge. She has a bunch of really talented crafters that will be joining in as her "design companion" for the week. This weeks first challenge was Flip Flop, Spin & Pop. Our challenge was to "Create an interactive card that does something a normal card doesn't." I was at a bit of a loss as to what I could do as I have never done an interactive card. So, I did what any desperate person would do.....I popped on over to YouTube and came across this awesome demonstration by Dawn5377, she called it a wiper card and I decided to give it a try. I gotta say, I'm very pleased and I will most definitely be making this card again.

Thank you Christina for the challenge.....it wouldn't have been a challenge if it wasn't a challenge. :)

This is the card I made to send to Monique. Check out her story here. http://www.mypinkstamper.com/
As soon as I read Pink Stampers blog asking us to be an encouragement to someone who was diagnosed with stage 3 breast cancer I knew I wanted to encourage her. I'm sure she can use all the love, support and prayers she can get at this time. I hope she enjoys it. :)

Take a look at this....

This is one "challenge" I plan to participate in. Take a look.... If you were in this position you'd like the same sort of encouragement.

Get ready Monique your mailbox is about to be flooded.....

I sat down to make a birthday card for my Granny's 83rd birthday and I ended up making 4 new cards. Here are 3 of them...

All three of these cards were made with cardstock (I believe it is all by Basic Grey) I purchased at a garage sale 2 yrs ago. I have MORE than gotten my $10 worth. LOVE a good deal.
I went on a blog hop today. There were 10 wonderfully talented ladies that participated and each one did an awesome job. I got lots of good ideas and inspirations.

Check it out beginning @ http://www.pinkcricut.com/2010/07/blog-hop-picnic/

There will be a link to take you to the next blogger in line. :)

Happy Hopping.

Hello,

Welcome to my blog. Again I'm new to the bloggosphere and it may be rough. Odd ball updates and facelifts everyday. :)

Here's one of my "Hello" Blank cards. This card is the standard A2 size. I used Create A Critter cartridge for my Cricut. I <3 this cart. There are SO many cute cuts and way too many possibilities. I computer printed the sentiment and the paper and card stock were just what I had stockpiled in my scraps.

I kinda wanted to post this and show here that a "bad cut" or a mistake can be saved and used for another project. I actually cut this turtle for another card but I didn't realize how big (long) it actually was going to be and I didn't have a large enough paper on my mat so it cut off her back end. I saved it to use like she walking from around the card. I LOVE how she turned out.
I was encouraged by my good friend Ann from Yours TruLee http://cardsbyyourstrulee.blogspot.com/ to create my own blog. So here it is. I have come up with a snappy title for my creations and I have now plunged into the blogging world. I gotta admit blog hopping I totally know how to do blogging myself TOTALLY new to me so there may be many bumps along the way. I hope you visit/follow often. My goal is post something at LEAST once a week. If you visit and have your own blog please share with me as I tend to be somewhat of a blog stalker myself. Remember this is a work in progress so please be patient with my. I'm sure I'll make a million mistakes before I get it right. :)
