Well, it's that time of yr again when we pack up ourselves, the kids and a whole bunch of other necessities hit the road and enjoy the great outdoors. This yr we are tent camping in Allegany State Park. This our first yr tenting at ASP but we've camped in the cabins there a bunch of other times. We tried tenting last yr on state land and we liked it so we decided to tent at ASP because we LOVE, LOVE, LOVE it there. I hate gathering everything and packing up and unpacking when we get there but once it's all done it's always worth it. I'm hoping to sneak in a wee bit of crafting in tonight, it's such a stress reliever for me. Hope you all have a great holiday (US) weekend I'll be back soon.

Isn't this card "Udder-ly Adorable"? I think so I decided to enter this card in a Create A Critter (my favorite cart so far) challenge over at Card Creations & More by C My good friend Ann from
Yours TruLee gave me this super sweet MS border punch because she knows how much I love CAC. I am so excited with how this came out. I hope you enjoy.

Ok....as a blog stalker I admit that my blog is no where near as "fancy" if you will as other blogs. However I have a good excuse right? I've only been blogging and stalking for less than 2-3 months. :) Anyway, it is what it is but I have decided that I would like to stop being so random, without rhyme or reason all the time and come up with some sort of schedule. Maybe even possibly throwing in a weekly challenge. It's definitely something I have been thinking about and will continue to think about. Life is getting crazy over the next couple of weeks. Getting ready for a yard sale Saturday, camping for 5 days on Wednesday, school starting on the 8th and moving all during that week and finishing up on the 11th. I'm a little overwhelmed with all that needs to be done between now and then but the kids school bags are packed and ready to go, my camping list is made and the sleeping bags are washed. Packing on the other hand.....

Well, I will figure out some rhyme or reason and hopefully have it all in play by the week of 9/20.

Every Monday Mojo Monday has a sketch challenge. I just discovered this blog/challenge and I decided I had to give it a try. I really like sketches because you can be as exact as you'd like or you can mix it up a bit. I pretty much followed this sketch to a "t" except for the bow. :)
I used my Cuttle Bug (I love that little machine) to cut and emboss the 4 stamps.
It was a fun challenge to participate in. I hope you enjoyed it. If you are into challenges or are interested in participating in one hop on over to Mojo Monday.

I made a post it note holder for each one of my children to give to their new teachers. My daughter is enter kindergarten and my son is entering pre-k (sniff, sniff, horray!). I seen the idea for these post it note holders from several bloggers and a lady in my church made something similar last yr. so I wanted to give it a try for myself. They are really easy to make.

1) I started out with an acrylic 5x7 frame (the kind that stand portrait not landscape).
2) I chose papers and cut them to fit in the frame attached the papers and the ribbon where needed and slid them into the frame.
3) I then cut a plain white piece of cardstock as a "backing" just so you wouldn't see the raw sides of the patterned papers (where they overlap and where the ribbon was taped down.
4) I attached the post-it pad using my ATG <3 :)
5) I chose and attached my embelishments.
6) I cut 2 pieces of the same matching patterned paper at 1/4" and slid it into the pen.

The bags are a mirror image of the holders themselves, minus the embelishments and post-it note pads of course. :)
I made 3"x3" cards with their teachers name on them and tied them and the pen to the outside of the bag with hemp.

This project was SUPER affordable (cheap). The frames, the post-it note pads, the hemp, the bags and the tissue paper were all purchased at The Dollar Tree. The pens were purchased at Kmart for $2/3pack . The paper, ribbon and embelishments were all items I had on hand. I'm really please and super excited with how they turned out. I hope the teachers like them as well.

So in the spirit of getting the kid's things all ready for back to school I wanted to make a little sumtin' sumtin' for my daughter's binder and my son's folder. And here it is. Jaelyn wanted a caterpillar so I ended up using the closest thing I have. This adorable CAC inch worm. I didn't give Jason a choice because he shares a brain with Jaelyn (LOL) and would have picked the same thing and I wanted them to have something different from eachother. I love how they turned out. Most definitely they will be distinguishable from the rest of the binders and folders in their classes I'm sure. :)
Then, there's the BLING. Sarah from Pink Cricut
blinged out her new pink ATG and it looked so sweet. I found this MOM bling on clearance at Michael's for only $1.99 and I HAD to get it. :) That's me MOM.

So who's ready for Fall? I know I sure am. I was sitting around tonight thinking about how much I really am looking forward to the Fall. One of our favorite family activities is the Pumpkin Patch. It's so much fun and my little pumpkin heads look so adorable amongst all the hundreds of pumpkins.
In the spirit of Fall and all the fun it brings I decided to make (my very first) waterfall card today. Jill @ The Scrapoholic did a tutorial video and posted the instructions on her blog this morning and I decided I had to try my hand at this neat card. I have seen these cards in the past but have never felt the urge to make one until today. I went with a Halloween theme. Halloween is not necessarily my favorite holiday but I love the colors and alot of the decor that goes along with it. These cards are so simple to make yet they are so cool because they are interactive and that makes it all the more fun.

I hope you enjoyed my creation tonight.

Pictured here is a gate fold mini-album that Michelle from Scrappin With My Bug shared with us how to make during a recent blog hop. This album is not yet completed (obviously, there are no photos) I still have to bling it out with all sorts of cute embelishments. I made this one for my daughter to document and preserve out summertime fun. I am also planning on making one for my son too. This album was so easy to make and I cannot wait to complete it. I will share it all with you when it is complete.

For a step by step video with full directions how to make your own, hop on over to Michelle's bog. It's a video that was posted July 10th and is titled "Welcome to the Blog Hop!"

Thank you fellow blog stalkers.

I made this adorable Turkey Day card as an entry in a design team competition but for whatever reason it didn't make the posted entries. :'( Any Hoo, the challenge was to design a card around a sentiment on any of the specific stamp sets. I chose this sentiment because I loved it and what I had to go with it.
As you can probably see I used the CAC turkey and made an easel card. I really love this style of card, to me it's not only a card but a little gift too. It was really hard choosing the best photo of this card because there are so many element and details to show off so I hope with these 4 shots you get the "picture". I have also chosen to use this turkey in a Cricut Cut swap I am also participating in.

I hope you enjoyed my little bit of Kreativity today.

I was blog stalking again and I was so impressed with the Paper Quilting Star Card made by Mary over at Cardz TV that I just HAD to give this a try.

This card has alot of little pieces (1"x1") so it is a little time consuming but in the end I think it was worth the work. Hop on over to her blog for instructions on how to make your own version.

I was excited to use my new D'vine Swirl Cuttlebug folder on the brown parts and to give it a little more of an old quilt look I sanded the raised parts. Now I'm convinced I need a block sander. My nail file doesn't like to work overtime. LOL The cardstock I used for this card was double sided so it was an automatic match. I LOVE that :)

I hope you enjoyed this Kreation. I know I sure did.

There are so many challenges out there to participate in every single week. Although I would LOVE to participate in every single one of them I simply don't have the time. However, this week I was able to participate in 3 challenges using the same card. I have seen so many of you do this and have been jealous of your creativity and ability to multi-compete.
The first challenge is First Friday's Challenge #2 put on by Abbie at Cricut Me That. The challenge was to make something for your girlfriend. T he inside says, Precious and few are friends like you.
The second challenge is Wacky Wednesday #3 Sketch put on by More Than Favors This was a sketch challenge. I followed the general idea with my own twist.
The third challenge is Tuesday's Challenge put on by Momo at Made by Momo Her challenge was simply to make something with flowers.
I'm pretty pleased with the outcome and the fact that I was able to "Kill 3 birds with one stone."

Sarah over at Pink Cricut http://www.pinkcricut.com/ has come out with FIVE brand new stamp sets. They are ALL so awesome. This one, Simply Everything, is my favorite (although it's hard to just pick one because I really love them all) because it really is...Simply Everything. She's been giving her blog stalkers chances to win our own set of stamps over on her blog. Check it out. I'm hoping to win a set of my own. I'm entering her designers challenge so wish me luck, and good luck to everyone who enters for a chance to win.

Well, I don't know about you but we have had one unusually HOT summer here in WNY. Extremely high and constant humidity. Personally, I'm about sick of it already and I'm ready for some Pumpkin Patch weather. :) This heat has "discouraged" my production of Kreativity :'(. My mind is still racing with possibilities including an entry for a design team member spot with Pink Cricut. I'd LOVE such an opportunity and some new Pink Cricut stamps wouldn't be so bad either.
I promise to share as soon as I have something new.

This week Christina's challenge was to create something out of an object you would normally throw away. I am by no means a recycler and was not even going to participate in this challenge as I often have a hard time thinking outside the box. However, yesterday I was making breaded and fried zucchini (MMM GOOD!) and just as I was about to throw away the bread crumb can it hit me (no the can did not hit me, the idea hit me). I could repurpose this can into something useful. I simply covered it with coordinating papers, some flowers and ribbon and here it is. I am going to use it to hold my spare change I always just seem to throw on my night stand. :)

**I'm sorry the pic is sideways. It's a bit embarrassing and extremely annoying but you get the picture.**

This is one of the 2 cards I was working on last night. My mind is racing with the possibility of shape cards now. I LOVE my CAC cart and I've been dying to do something with this ladybug so I thought this was the perfect opportunity to use this cutie patootie. The face is attached using pop dots and the antennae are polka dotted with swiss dots and stickles. I <3 Stickles :) For the finishing touches I used my white gelly pen and added a flower w/ a button, after all she is a LADYbug. Isn't she sweet?

Hope you enjoy.
