Michelle from Queen Of My Craftroom posted an
Ugly Paper Challenge.
We all know that we have some UGLY paper in our stashes. Perhaps some comes in a stack or some is given to you. However you come across it you just know you will never use it but at the same time it's paper and how can you get rid of it? LOL
I have some ugly paper that I've been holding on to for whatever reason. Perhaps for such a time as this?
Come On Get Happy....
In case you didn't realize or don't know this is supposed to be the Partridge Family Bus. :)
Isn't this paper ugly? Normally I would say yes but cut a cute bus from DoodleCharms and suddenly it's not so ugly anymore.
This is a Stair Step Card. I got the inspiration and directions for this type of card from Jessica The Creative Stamper Spot. I really like this fold and I will most definitely be using it again.
I hope you enjoyed my ugliness.

Hello friends and welcome to the second
Scrappin' Roots Monthly Layout Challenge
Every month (on the 25th) I am hosting a layout challenge.
Many of us started out scrapbooking and many of us have let it go or put it aside for other paper crafts. This challenge was created to help us get back to our "Scrappin' Roots"
This month's challenge is Springtime/Easter
and I have asked my good friend Ann Marie from Yours TruLee to be this month's guest designer. I have known Ann for just about 10 yrs. and I can honestly tell you she is one of the sweetest and kindest persons you could ever know.
It's gorgeous isn't it? I love the 3-D butterflies.
Thank you so much Ann for sharing :)
Thank you so much Ann for sharing :)
Now it's your turn.
Get out your pretty Spring or Easter papers and create a layout of your very own to show off.
-Your layout can be one or two pages.
-You can post your layout with or without pictures.
-Your layout should be something new that you created specifically for this challenge.
-You can post the link to your layout using Mr. Linkey below.
-You MUST have fun.
-You have until Midnight (PST) Tuesday April 5th to post your layouts and a winner will be chosen on Wednesday April 6th.
The prize for this months challenge will be a set of flowers handmade by yours truly. Me, not Ann, LOL. :)

Hello friends and welcome to
SpantastiKreations.
Today I am honored to be a guest designer over at Kari's blog, PurpleFuntastick Creations.
Kari is celebrating March being National Craft Month by having a guest designer post every week. When she asked me to be one of her guest designers I was more than happy to. I have known Kari via Facebook and Blogging for only 8 months and although we have never met face to face I consider her a friend. She has been a blessing and encouragement to me in more ways than one.
Kari asked that my project be Spring themed and to me Easter shouts Spring to me. Everything is new and green, fresh and coming back to life. Much like our Savior, the Lord Jesus Christ when He rose again, coming back to life to provide us a way to salvation and Heaven so many years ago.
Here's what I made for my Spring project.
I know too cute right?
I made this basket using a 12"x12" piece of card stock.
I scored the card stock at 3" and 9" on all sides.
On the right and the left sides of the card stock I cut along the 3" and the 9" score lined to the center section.
A little ATG here and a little there and voila!
As you can see I also put coordinating patterned patterned on all the panels. I also used my Crop A Dial to attach the handle.
The adorable little chick was cut from Simply Charmed and
the word Easter was welded on my Gypsy and I glittered each letter to help it stand out.
I filled it with some orange Easter grass and plastic eggs and it's ready for decoration or gift giving.
This is another project I liked so much I have decided to make 3 more for the teachers, assistant teacher and principal for Easter. I love giving them little gifts every holiday. Yeah, I may be a brown noser but I know they appreciate them. The principal LOVES to see what her next card will look like and she's even told me she looks forward to them.
I'm sure it's true too because I have seen some of them hanging in her office. :)
I hope you enjoyed my basket today. Hop on over to Kari's blog and become a follower if you are not already. She's got a lot of really cute projects to share.
Thank you again Kari for having me as a guest designer on your blog this month.
Keep Kreating Friends,
Erin

Happy St. Patrick's Day and welcome to the
Lucky Leprechaun St. Patrick's Day Blog Hop
Hosted by Nicolette from Beyond Scrapin
If you have arrived here from my blogging buddy and good personal friend Ann's blog, Yours TruLee
you are hopping in the right direction. If you just happen to be visiting and would like to hop from the beginning you can start at Nicolette's blog.
I was super excited to be a part of this blog hop. So much so that I did my project weeks ago when Nicolette asked me to participate. I knew exactly what I wanted to do and had had it running in my mind for a few weeks prior to that.
I LOVE to make something for my front door every month (many of my followers already know that because I have shared some of those projects before. So, this month I just HAD to use my Simply Charmed cartridge. It has 2 of the cutest little leprechaun's you ever did see. Take a look, I'm sure you'll agree with me....
Come on now....I know you are in love aren't you? LOL
This handsome little fellow came out just as I had imagined.
I cut each layer out of chipboard (aka cereal boxes) and then colored cardstock. I welded and cut the word LUCKY & the pots of gold using my Gypsy (my new love).
I used fishing line to attach the sentiment and the leprechaun. I also used magnets (which were free advertisements I had received at the Auto Show) to adhere him to the door.
I wish you could see the fine detail here...
I used Stickles to bling out the gold and I free handed the horseshoes.
Mr. Lucky Leprechaun here has some fine detail that I don't think comes across in this picture as well as I would like so I'll give you the deets....
His hair, eyebrows and his beard were distressed with sandpaper.
His hat buckle and his button is blinged with Stickles as well as the black band on his hat along with his shoes.
His jacket and pants have faux stitching.
He's been happily hanging on my door for about 3 weeks now. Isn't he handsome? He's my new boyfriend. LOL
I hope you enjoyed my project. :) I know I sure did.
Your next stop on this hop is the talented Jennifer from
But wait before you go.....I wanted to tell you about the blog candy. (YUMMY) I will be giving away a $10 gift certificate to either Michael's or JoAnn's (your choice).
To be eligible please leave a comment (you don't HAVE to be a follower but I would love it if you were :) and tell me what kind of home decor projects do you like to make yourself as well as an email address I can contact you should you be the lucky winner.
Random.org will be picking a winner for me on Monday 3/21.
Thank you again for stopping by. I hope you enjoy your St. Patty's day and enjoy some good old fashioned Corned Beef or Ham & Cabbage.
Keep Kreating,
Erin

Welcome to the Shimmering Shamrock Blog Hop hosted by Tanya at Scrappy Scavenger
If you have arrived here from Dianne's Scrappy Creations you are hopping in the right direction. If you would like to start hopping at the very beginning please go to Tanya's blog.
I am very excited to be a part of his hop and to share with you my project. As the title states this is the SHIMMERING SHAMROCK blog hop so what better way to represent that than with a shimmering shamrock project right?
I made a card which I LOVE so much I have decided to make 3 more and give them to my children's teachers, assistant teacher and principal. We live in a HUGELY Irish (and proud of it) community. The school colors are even green, orange and white so this card promotes school spirit and represents our Irish heritage.
This card is the "Irish Flag" with SHIMMERING SHAMROCKS on top. I can't wait to make the other 3 cards. There's nothing like getting so much satisfaction from a project and this card certainly did that for me.
Recipe:
Card base: Recollections card stock (5.5"x8.5", folded in half)
Flag: Scraps (4"x1.75")
Shamrocks: Double Shamrocks cut from Celebrate with Flourish
Left shamrock glittered in white and right shamrock glittered in green. I am happy that you can see the shimmer in the picture.
Rhinestones: Recollections
Inside: "Happy St. Patrick's Day" is stamped in orange.
ATG: Of course
I AM offering blog candy for this hop and what better blog candy to go with the Shimmering Shamrocks than STICKLES!?!
The winner will be chosen using Random.org on 3/20 and will receive a 3 pack of shimmering Stickles.
To be eligible for this prize please leave me a comment and an email address in which I can get in touch with you. PLEASE leave me an email address. I have had to bypass several potential winners in recent blog hops because I have had no way of contacting them. Don't let this be you LOL.
I want to say a big Thank You to Tanya for hosting this fabulous blog hop and allowing me to participate.
Now your next stop on this hop is the fabulous Pam.
Enjoy your hop and your St. Patrick's Day.
Keep Kreating,
Erin

If you are looking for the Scrappin Roots Layout Challenge click here.
Welcome to Jenn's Birthday Blog Hop
If you are stopping by from Kristi's blog you are hopping in the right direction. If you just happened to stumble upon my blog and would like to hop from the beginning please begin at Jenn's blog.
I am so excited to be a part of this hop. Jenn has lined up THIRTY FIVE fabulous ladies for this hop and I am honored to be among such talent. Don't worry you will have three full days (4th-6th) to hop. So grab a cup of coffee or two and enjoy.
As the title says it's Jenn's Birthday ~Happy Birthday Jenn~ don't forget to shares your birthday wishes with her on her blog.
We had free reign to make anything we wanted for this hop as long as it had a turtle or turtles somewhere on it. Jenn LOVES turtles and her blog title Scrappin Lil Turtle even reflects that.
I wanted to make her a birthday card using my Gypsy.
I'm in love with shape cards just so you know....
Isn't she the cutest little thing? As you can see I placed this adorable little turtle on a circle card. There is a lot of texture in this card. I embossed the top of the circle card with Spots and Dots, the water with Divine Swirls, the dark green layer of the turtle with Swiss Dots and the light green layer of the turtle with Traffic Jam.
I also gave her some Stickle-y toe nails and lips and some pearl bubbles to boot. :)
I initially made this into a turtle shaped card but it didn't have that wow factor I was hoping for so I made some changes including mounting her on an Action Wobbler
I love these things. They really add that extra zing to a project.
I inked a lot on this card as well. Most of the edges and and embossing is also inked. Next week I will share with you how I store my inks and inking sponges. If you know me/follow me you know that if it's cheap it's for me so you can expect a simple economical system.
Your next stop along the hop is the VERY talented Nicole. Her project is sure to please and inspire. She's always got the cutest projects and she's such an inspiration to me all the time.
What's that?!? You are waiting for the blog candy? Oh ok! For this hops blog candy I will be giving away a bottle of Aleene's Tack It Over & Over Glue.
I use this glue to make my own glue dots. It's super simple and very economical. I will include how to instructions for the winner. To win this prize simply leave a comment with a way to get in touch with you should Random.org choose you as the lucky winner. You do not have be a follower but if you are inspired by what you see and would like to see more, please by all means follow.
Again, I wanna wish Jenn a very Happy Birthday.
I hope you all enjoy the hop and find something fun and inspirational along the way.
Keep Kreating,
Erin
