A Big Cricut Hello & Chirp to each of you! Welcome to the Cricky Across the 50 Blog Hop hosted by K Andrew of Getting Cricky!

For this blog hop K Andrew is celebrating her big move across the country with a big road trip, and of course this hop across the 50 states! She has asked us all to post a little bit about the state we are representing, and then post our Favorite Craft Project.
I am representing the state of New York. I was born and bread here and although I have not done a great deal of traveling within the state I do have my favorite spots.
This is a photo of my most favoritest spot in the whole world. Allegany State Park {heart}
Here's an interesting yet useless bit of information about our great state:
New York was the first state to require license plates for cars.
See I told you interesting AND useless.
For this hop I wanted to incorporate my favorite place in the whole world which is Allegany State Park. I have been visiting and camping at ASP for almost 25 years (Yes, I'm old :). We've picniced there, hiked there and camped there (in both cabin and tent). It really is my happy place. I created this layout to preserve the memories of our 2010 tent camping trip.
This 2 page layout has a spot for up to 12 photos as well as 4 journaling tags. I put a lot of dimension into this LO using my CuttleBug and pop dots. Each Cricut cut is from Simply Charmed and represents a glimpse of which photos I will be placing on this LO. (PS: The pic of the trees above is a photo I took myself and it will be placed on this LO)
The Tree represents the GORGEOUS forestry in the park. It's just so beautiful and breath taking just to soak up God's handiwork.
The Fishing pole and fish represents the fun fishing you can do at one of the many lakes within the park. My kids like to fish but like me they won't touch the fish once it's hooked. That's why we bring daddy along. LOL
The sand and bucket is for the 2 gorgeous beaches. This year we went to the Red House Beach and I think I love it more than the Quaker Beach.
The hot dog of course represents the good 'ole camp food we stuff ourselves with the whole time we're there. Diet and nutrition is out the window when we are at camp. If you want S'mores for dinner and popcorn for breakfast then by all means that is what you get. :)
Here is a close up of the journaling tags. I could not stop inking the edges on this LO there is ink everywhere. :)

I, too, am a New Yorker, although not a native. My husband grew up in Allegany County, in Angelica, and it truly is gorgeous down there. We have camped in the State Park as well...so you could just send me the layout and I could put it to good use! Great blog! When I was younger, I always thought New York was all city, then growing up learned more and found out, nope, its not all city. Like your state park, gorgeous, quiet...peaceful.

My favorite place is Redstone near Aspen Colorado. It is a small quaint victorian town without the glitz/glitter of aspen but with the same beautiful scenery.

Love the LO. NY ..my neighbor so I been there a lot of times. I am a follower (even if I didn't have to be). My favorite place to visit is AZ. No place special, I mean of course I love the Grand Canyons but I also love the desert, I loved Flagstaff, Tombstone, etc. So I would have to say the state as a whole and not just one spot/city.

When I kid we had a place called the Chalk Mines and it was such a cool place. We went every summer to explore the caves and make up stories but it closed down many years ago because it became unsafe.

Oh Erin - this is just fabulous! I love this layout - the journaling tags in pobkets - just a great idea - I always have so many pictures there is no place to journal! I want to visit Allegany SP - what a beuatiful place it looks to be! My favorite place to visit is Southern Utah - I can't really say one place in particular - I was born in Moab and I love it there but Zions National Park and Bryce are fabulous and last summer I went to the tiny towns of Torrey and Teasdale outside of Canyonlands National Park and I could have just stayed there :)

New follower here. My DH was born in NY and I adore the gorgeous scenery in upstate NY. I also love driving along the Hudson and all the quaint towns along the river. Frederick Church is one of our favorite artists and I loved visiting his home Olana. I can see how he was inspired by the beautiful views from the porches of Olana.

I live in Upstate New York and I feel that we have the best State Parks anywhere. We are also campers, albiet with an RV and spend 3-4 weeks every year in our State Parks. Love those two album pages! My favorite place to visit is my parents' house on the Chesapeake Bay. It doesn't matter what season it is or what the weather is like - when my husband and I travel there from the hustle and bustle of DC, we always feel relaxed and rejuvenated.
